New Milford Public Library will host an exhibit of photographs by New Milford artist Rachael Wright from September 5 through November 11, 2017.

“I’d be hard-pressed to think of a time when there wasn’t a camera in my hand and a dog (or two) by my side. Growing up on a farm in an emerald valley nestled between the sloping hills of Western Maryland cultivated my love of photography. That’s where I found my muse in the mountains and discovered that dogs made the best models.

I received an MS degree in Digital Media in 2014 which has allowed me to combine my love for photography and my passion for digital content creation. I am well-versed in the visual arts – from developing in a darkroom to creating viral content on Instagram. I’ve developed content for National Public Radio, The Baltimore Sun, GUESS Watches, and numerous local businesses located along the East Coast.

I’ve always made my home in the mountains; recently trading the Catoctin Mountains for the Berkshires when I settled in New Milford, CT. When I’m not traveling up and down the coast with my two shelties looking for my next photo op, I can be found at the New Milford Public Library where I teach digital literacy.”

The exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours. For more information, please call the Library at (860) 355-1191.
