NMPL Children’s Department Inclement Weather Procedures

In the case of inclement weather, school closings or delays, the Children’s Department will go by the following guidelines regarding program cancellations:

If school is cancelled, all story time programs that day will be cancelled. For YA, Wed. Afternoon Activity, or other specials, call 860-355-1191, ext. 204 for information.

If there is a 2 hour delay, the following schedule will apply:

Monday:
Little Lap-Sitters: We will not hold the 10:00 AM group.

Parent & Child (2 Year Olds)
We will not hold the 10:00 AM group. We will hold the 11:00 AM group. Children from the 10:00 AM group may attend the 11:00 AM group on these days ONLY.

Three & Four Year Olds Storytime: The 10:45 AM group will meet at 11:00 AM.

Kiddie Kapers will meet at 4:00 PM as usual.

Tuesday: 10:00 AM will be cancelled.

Wednesday: Three-Year Olds: 10:00 AM group will be cancelled. We will hold the 11:00 AM group. Children from the 10:00 AM group may attend the 11:00 AM group on these days ONLY.

Wednesday Film Time 10:30 AM will be cancelled.

Thursday: 10:00 AM will be cancelled.

Friday:
Parent & Child (2 Year Olds)
We will not hold the 10:00 AM group. We will hold the 11:00 AM group. Children from the 10:00 AM group may attend the 11:00 AM group on these days ONLY.

In the case of an unplanned early dismissal from school:

Tuesday at Two, JRL and Thursday Fun Time will be cancelled.
